Javier Macias started Macias Heating and Cooling in 2003, in his garage in Alamogordo. It was him and one other person, doing what the two of them could do.

He grew it slowly, and on purpose. He didn't advertise, and he never took on more than he could do properly. The idea was simple: do good work, and let the work and the customers keep you going. It did. One job brought the next, and twenty-three years later the garage is a sheet metal shop with a crew, a crane truck, and customers across the Tularosa Basin and up the mountain who keep calling back.

Now the next generation is taking the business on, with a plan to keep that legacy going, to make it bigger and better, and to make the name proud. The rule hasn't changed: do it right, and the customers will keep you going.

The work is heating and air conditioning for homes and businesses: new systems, service and repair. Alongside it is the fabrication shop, which makes our own ductwork and custom metal work for everyone else: roof trim for roofers in town, parts for businesses, one-offs for homeowners.
